Prostitution

Prostitution involves offering, paying, or accepting money or something of value in exchange for a sexual act, applying to both prostitutes and customers.

It is a misdemeanor with penalties:

• First offense: Up to 6 months in county jail and a $1,000 fine.

• Second offense: Mandatory minimum of 45 days in county jail.

• Third or subsequent offense: Mandatory minimum of 90 days in county jail.
