Vandalism involves maliciously damaging, destroying, or defacing another person’s property.

• Misdemeanor (damage under $400): Up to 1 year in county jail, $1,000 fine ($5,000 if there is a prior conviction), and informal or summary probation.

• Felony (damage $400 or more): Can be charged depending on the case.
